Jennie V. Allen, longtime Galesburg resident, passed away on June 13th at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Westminster, CO.
Jennie was born on October 25, 1921 to Joseph and Rose Tabbone. Mrs. Allen graduated from Galesburg High School, attended Brown’s Business College and was a bookkeeper for Flecks Clothing Store. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Francis “Webb” Allen of Westminster, CO, daughter, Judy Griffith (son-in-law Jeff) of Erie, CO; two grandsons, Dustin (granddaughter in-law Jessica) of Thornton, CO and Chad of Denver, CO; a sister, Bertha Tropino, of Sun City West, AZ and a brother, Jim Tabbone, of Galesburg, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
