Jennie Lucille Anderson age 87 passed away January 6, 2023 in Nampa, Id. She was born on May 31, 1935 in Callaway, Nebraska. She was the daughter to George and Lydia (Rost) Hurn.
Jennie graduated from Callaway high school in Callaway Nebraska in 1952. She then attended Kearney Teachers College and earned her Nebraska teacher certificate. She worked for a short time as a teacher in a one room school house teaching grades K-12. While teaching, she met the love of her life Robert Anderson. She gave up the teaching career and married Robert on April 27, 1953. Robert and Jennie had five living children, Bob, Levi, Ron, Helen, Jim, and one stillborn daughter Laurie. Robert and Jennie eventually moved from Nebraska to Idaho, where that became their permanent home. Jennie was a homemaker and assisted Robert with his many business ventures.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents,6 brothers, 2 sisters, her husband Robert, and their infant daughter Laurie.
She is survived by her children, Bob and his wife Pennie Anderson of Nampa, ID; Levi and her husband Dave Sittser of Boise, ID; Ron and his wife Debbie Anderson of Lowman, ID; Helen and her husband Dave Johnson of Boise, ID and Jim and his wife Michelle Anderson of Idaho City, ID; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her sister Bonnie Tofflemire; her sister-in-law, Opal Hurn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Sunny Ridge for the compassionate care given to their mother.
