Jennie A. (Jane) Alexander, 91, formerly of Roosevelt Avenue died Sunday, January 30, 2011, at the Williamsport Home surrounded by her family.
Jennie had worked for the former Franklin Hosiery Mill, was a Welcome Wagon hostess and sold Stanley Home Products. She and her husband, Elwood, owned Ellie-Jane Acres in Roaring Branch.
Jennie was a member of St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church and the church’s Amen Train, served on the Old Lycoming Township Board of Elections for many years and enjoyed playing cards and games.
Born December 26, 1919 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Charles LeRoy and Grace M. Wilson Green.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy A. (Bud) Balzer of Linden; three grandchildren, Lisa C. Cohick of Salladasburg, Ellie Jane (David) Hubbard, of Williamsport and Joseph Alexander Kyle of Roaring Branch; four great-grandchildren, Alex and Anna Kyle and Grace Marie and Carolynn J Hubbard; a step great-grandson, David-Paul Hubbard; two great great grandchildren, Taryn Cherie and Carter Thomas and many loving nieces and nephews.
Jennie was predeceased by her husband, Elwood C. Alexander, and a daughter, Carol J. Reynolds.
