Jennell A. Jorgenson, 94, of Nampa, passed away from this life into the waiting arms of Jesus at a Nampa care facility on June 4, 2020.

Jennell was born on May 23, 1926 to Gustav and Sophrona Lang in Morris, MN. She was raised on a farm in Minnesota and graduated from high school in 1944. Following graduation, she stayed on the farm until she married her high school sweetheart, Harlan “Bud” Jorgenson in 1946 after he was honorably discharged from the US Navy Seabees. Following their wedding they moved to Pendleton, OR. In 1947 their first daughter, Nancy was born. In 1951, Joy Marie joined the family. Jennell was a homemaker, wife and mother. In 1952 they moved to Milton-Freewater, OR. In 1961 they moved to Pasco, WA and later to Burbank, WA. They later moved to Goldendale, WA where they built their dream home. Wanting to be closer to family they moved to Nampa and soon after arriving in Nampa they moved to Caldwell. In April of 2016 Bud passed away and Jennell moved to the Park Place Assisted Living Community where her needs could be better met. She resided there until she made it to her final home in Heaven. A special thank you goes to the staff at Park Place who took such loving care of her during her final years of her earthly life.

She didn’t always have an easy life, but she did well with God’s help whom she served from her teen years until her last breath.

She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Lansing and Joy (Jerry) Kern, all of Nampa; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; her sister, Lois (Jim) Lindblom, Battleground, WA; sister-in-law, Stella Raasch, Chokio, MN and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Eitzen in CO.
