Jenna (Jennifer) Leigh Riley-Acree, born November 9th 1981, passed away on October 16th 2018, at the age of 36 due to complications from a life long battle with asthma. Jenna was born in Redwood City, CA and raised in Colorado Springs, CO where she lived out the majority of her too-short life, although her heart was always warm in Florida swimming with dolphins. Jenna was preceded in death by her Father, Daniel Martin Riley. She is survived by her son, Jase and husband Malcolm Acree, as well as her Mother Jacquelyn, and sisters LawRa, and Jasmine along with countless extended families and friendships too numerous to mention.
It is impossible to describe Jenna, she was truly a treasured and unique individual. While her genius mind challenged the patience of many, it was clear to anyone who really knew her that she had the most caring and loving heart, always there to help anybody who needed it. She was selfless above all else. If you wanted to put a smile on her face, you could strike up conversations about her favorite things; Star Trek, anything purple, her latest techno gadgets and puzzles, or her current stack of reading material. Life for Jenna would not have been complete without her “furry children” and human family alike. She found unexpected love with her soul mate, and husband Mac, with whom she was gifted 15 beautiful years. Her heart was most full when she was spending time and caring for her beloved son Jase, in whom she found childlike-joy, pure happiness and immeasurable love. She will be dearly missed.
