Jeffrey Scott Long, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 28, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family, holding the hand of his wife, Beth. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Jeff was born September 28, 1966, in Inglewood, California, to Donald Robert Long and Elberta Rae Patrick Long. He grew up and attended schools in Provo, graduated from Provo High School, and attended Utah State University on a music scholarship. At USU he met his wife, Beth. Then he joined the Military and became an Airborne MP.
Jeff and Beth were married in Dallas, Texas on December 19, 1987.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Beth Long of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Roy (Brittany Appleby) Long of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, RaeAnn (Ray) Ricks of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Ashlee (Cenobio) Feliciano-Galeana of Idaho Falls, ID; sons, Aaron Long and Timothy Long, both of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Elberta Long of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Debbie (John) Farnsworth of Orem, UT; sister, Betsey (Trent) Smith of Tetonia, ID; and 8 grandchildren, Zachary, Lily, Michael, Nathan, Amelia, Nayeli, Caitlynn, and Henry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Robert Long; and his brother, Patrick Donald Long.
