Mr. Jeffrey Lynn Herr, age 65, of Sharpsburg, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Herr was born on Nov. 26, 1955, in Lebanon, PA to the late Wayne Herr and his wife, Shelby. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, and hiking. Never to sit still, he was always tinkering with equipment or projects around the house or across the community. Over the course of his life, Mr. Herr built a career as an electrical contractor, first in Pennsylvania and then in Georgia after he and his wife relocated in 1994.
While he was proud of his career, Mr. Herr would tell you his greatest achievement in life was his family. Mr. Herr is survived by his wife of 38 years, Renee M. Herr; son, Joshua Herr and wife DeAnna; brothers, Wesley Herr and Tracy Herr; sister, Karen Herr; and mother, Shelby Herr.
As a proud follower of Christ, he held his faith nearest to his heart. What he desired most is to pass on the Gospel and the message of salvation to all those he met. He frequently stated that he could fail in all other aspects of life, but if he succeeded in spreading the word of God, then nothing else mattered. Those who knew him would say he was greeted with arms open and the loving words of “well done my good and faithful servant”.
