Jeffrey received his formal education in the New York City public school system, graduating from Alexander Hamilton High School, in 1983.
Jeffrey was always a hard worker. He kept a job and money even at ten years old when he worked for Love In Action Daycare Center. While working he also went to school to further his education. He was a New York City Correction Officer for over 20 years, where he retired. Jeffrey wore his badge proudly.
Jeffrey’s love for God lead him to seek and find fellowship at UCAC Church in Brooklyn, New York. He was an Ordained Deacon and was named Father of the year, June 17, 2012.
Jeffrey truly cherished those honors. Jeff was always a cheerful giver to his church and those in need.
Jeffrey leaves to cherish with fond memories: his two sisters: Denise McLain and Pamela Brown; brother-in-law: Alvie Brown; eight nieces and nephews: Andre, Ashley, Alsheena, Collisa, Kyreem, Alicia, James Jr., and Torenda; four grand nieces and nephews, aunts, great uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
