Jeffrey David Ropes, peacefully met his Lord, on Friday, November 1, 2013. Age 62. He was born March 13, 1951, the son of the late James “Don” Francis and Delores Jean Herman Ropes. He received his Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University. He was self employed in the construction industry and currently worked as a Pro Service Specialist at Lowe’s. He was a member of Centerpoint Church.
He served on the board for Habitat for Humanity and enjoyed golfing and softball. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Ellen Ropes; his son, Jason Michael Ropes of Kalamazoo; two step-children, Wendy David French of East Leroy, MI and Peggy Dennis Holder of Lawton; four step-grandchildren; his uncle, Bob Ropes of Kokomo, IN; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynda Anderson.
