Ryan1945 ↔ 2020Jeffrey C., age 75 of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on September 30th, 2020.Predeceased by his parents John M. “Jack” and Dorothy M. (nee Mitchell) is Survived by his two daughters; Kathryn Ryan of Wayne, PA and Kelley Ryan of Denver, CO; Brother, Jack Ryan of Wilmington, NC; and many nephews and nieces. Jeff grew up in Drexel Hill, PA and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in June 1962. During his school days and throughout college he was known as part of a tight knit group of neighborhood friends. Later in life (1982) they dubbed themselves as “The Corner Boys.” Many will smile and laugh while reminiscing his coin phrase “Is this good news or money?” when he answered phone calls. Jeff became a member of the United States Coast Guard Reserves in November 1966 based out of Cape May, New Jersey. Jeff later graduated from West Chester State University with a Bachelor of Arts in May of then went on to obtain his Associate in Business Administration from The University of Pennsylvania in May of 1978. Jeff also maintained a Pennsylvania Real estate license and spent several years working as a Stockbroker with Legg Mason, Tucker, Anthony & Co. He also delivered the daily stock report on KYW News Radio for many years. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and completed the Two Year Pennsylvania School of Banking sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association at Bucknell University in August of 1975. He was appointed to the Board of Governors in January 1991, for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia as Supervising Examiner International Examinations in the Division of Supervision, Regulation and Credit. He traveled internationally and represented the Federal Reserve in his unwavering work ethic, commitment to the Bank’s purpose and through the international business relationships he established in his efforts for the Federal Reserve Bank in his workings both domestic and international. Following his retirement from the Federal Reserve System in he enjoyed attending Penn and Villanova basketball games with friends and often lunched at the late “Snockys”, an Oyster Bar in Philadelphia, PA. He was an avid Golfer and cherished the times spent with close friends and family.While he was committed to his work and life accomplishments, his number one passion in life was that of raising his two daughters and being the best Father a daughter could hope for, a purpose in which he succeeded tremendously. A few of the fond memories that will be cherished are that of family vacations and sharing his stories about his international travels. He had fond memories of summers spent in Ocean City, New Jersey and sunny days spent at their local swim club, his girls will always remember their “Aquamaniacs” days. “1 – 2 – 10!”Jeff was a man that loved wholly, brought light and laughter to every interaction he had and worked diligently all his life to provide for his
