Jeff Snell, 41, of Aurora, CO, passed away on Tuesday, June 27. Jeffrey Allen Snell was born in Rapid City, SD on September 7, 1975 to Lona and Brad Snell. His father, Brad, ingrained in Jeff a love of baseball from an early age as his coach, baseball card shop owner and avid Yankees fan. Jeff started playing baseball at the age of 5, and continued to play through college and semi-professional teams. He graduated from Rapid City Stevens High School in 1994, and then from University of South Dakota in 2000, with a degree in Criminal Justice. While at the University of South Dakota, Jeff met his match in Kelly Timlin, and they married in 2002. They lived in Atlanta before moving to Colorado later that year. They were then blessed to become parents to Maya Lorraine in 2005. Jeff’s favorite role in this world was to be Maya’s dad. Jeff always had a huge smile on his face that was contagious to those around him. He loved his family, his role as a dance dad, and making fun of everyone around him. Jeff loved the Yankees, the 49ers, and playing golf, not necessarily in that order. He hated tomatoes, the Cheerleader Song, and dog poop in his office, not necessarily in that order. He is survived by his wife, Kelly, and their 11 year old daughter, Maya; his parents, Lona and Brad Snell; his sister, Stefanie (Shawn) Larson and their children Brady, Baylee, and Brecken Larson; grandparents, Lorraine and Alfred Weimer: his in-laws, Joy and Mike Timlin; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and hundreds of friends who were honored to know him. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lloyd and Daisy Snell, and brother-in-law, Joe Timlin.
