Jeffrey Alan Perry, 60, of Newnan passed away on his 60th birthday on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Emory University Hospital. Jeff was born September 17, 1956 in Bethesda, MD while his father was serving in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. Perry & Mary Caldwell Perry and his brother, Wayne Perry. Jeff graduated from Newnan High School and shortly after, went to work for a local car dealership. That first job launched a forty year career in the automobile parts industry where he worked at multiple dealerships in the Atlanta to Newnan area.
His true passion was helping others. Jeff saw a need to assist those less fortunate and started a food ministry that lasted over 14 years. He went to local grocery stores and received excess food, and coordinated delivery to local agencies in Coweta including One Roof, Coweta Food Pantry, Battered Women’s Shelters, and others. He often crossed county lines to deliver goods to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. Jeff was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
