Jeffery A. Briggs age 55 of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2021.
Born in Ashland on June 25, 1965, the son of James and Donna (King) Briggs, Jeff was a resident of Ashland all of his life.
He was a member of the Ashland High School Class of 1985 and was the Manager for the Varsity Football and Varsity Basketball team for all four years. Jeffery had a genuine love for people. He always took time to make sure others were included and not left out. He was a competitor with the Ashland Dragons in competition at Special Olympics. Jeffery also enjoyed playing Bocce Ball, watching all types of Sports with Football and WWE wrestling being favorites. He also enjoyed playing golf with his dad. Jeffery was employed at Midwest.
Surviving are his parents, James and Donna Briggs of Ashland; two sisters and brothers in law, Tonia (Bill) Armstrong of North Carolina and Stephanie (Todd) Crone of Michigan. One grandmother, Frieda Hall also survives as does his life long companion Loretta Scott.
He is also survived by one niece, Carly (Erik) Oswalt and four nephews; Colton (Katie Thomas) Mowry, Steven (Ashley) Crone, Jay (Taylor) Crone and Tyler Crone. Great nieces; Sophia, Stella and great nephews; Samuel and Matthew also survive.
Jeffery is preceded in death by grandparents; James W. and Kathryn Briggs and Uncles and aunt, Charles Briggs, Tom and Barb Whisler and Charles Mahoney. One nephew Clayton Mowry also precedes him in death.
