Jeffrey T. Jernstrom, 49, of Elkhart, passed away at 6:35 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1961, in Mishawaka, to Thomas J. and Jane L. (Williams) Jernstrom. On Jan. 6, 1996, he married Brenda J. (Stump) Jernstrom in Elkhart and she survives.
In addition to his wife and parents, other survivors include his sister, Pam (Larry) Holcomb of Osceola; two stepdaughters, Robin Woods of Baton Rouge, La., and Autumn Prestly of Indianapolis; stepson Robert Prestly of Baton Rouge; mother- and father-in-law, Richard and Martha Stump of Wakarusa; 16 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his faithful loving dogs, Twister, Budde, Gracee Rose, and Breeze.
He was employed as a group leader at Doors Plus for nearly 15 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of The Redeemer. Jeffrey loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking photographs, and cooking. He dearly loved his wife and enjoyed spending time with family members at gatherings.
