Jeffery Kenneth Carter, age 64, of Plainwell passed away on September 5, 2019 at his home.
He was born on January 29, 1955 in, Toledo, OH, the son of the late Kenneth Carter and Nancy (Vaughn) Carter. On October 5, 1979, he married Sandra T. Carter (Genis), who survives him. Jeffery was a 1979 graduate of the University of Michigan, where he received his B.S. He worked for Glassmaster Controls as Chief Financial Officer, retiring in 2012.
Previously he had worked at Sears for twenty years in various positions. He loved Corvettes, spending time boating and fishing and was an avid University of Michigan sports fan. Jeffery is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sandra Carter; one sister, Darcy (Richard) Wilson; nieces and nephews, Sean Genis, Stephanie Jones, Cameron Wilson, Zachary Wilson and Cody Wilson; aunts and uncles, Pam and Tom Dickens & January and Thomas Roskelly.
