Jeff C. Jeffreys, 82 of Birmingham formerly of Tupelo, MS passed away on December 20, 2010. He was a traffic consultant for Southern Railroad from 1951 till 1960 when he went to work for J.C. Harper until 1976 and then to G.P. Cochran & Associates until he retired in 1996. He was a member of Professional Musicians Union and was also a Mason. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ann Marie Jeffreys; his parents, Benjamin F. and Mary Jane Jeffreys; one brother, Addison Jeffreys and three sisters, Velma Conwell, Alma Lemons and Ann Farrell. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Howard Jeffreys; five children, Linda Bell (Jim), David Jeffreys (Donna), Barbara Hogue (Ray), Michael C. Jeffreys (Eva) and Sherrie Hampton (Jerry); one sister, Altha Tackett; one brother, Dr. Hugh Jeffreys (Linda); twelve grandchildren, Christie Matherne (Jude), David Jeffreys II (Brea), Cynthia Higginbotham (Matt), Jeff C. Herren (Sandy), Danielle Doss (Brandon), Daniel Jeffreys, Ryan Hampton, Devin Jeffreys, Elizabeth Hampton, Jarrod Jeffreys, Laura Hampton and Juleigh Jeffreys and three great grandchildren, Madeleine Matherne, Abigail Matherne and Isabella Doss.
