Jeffrey Dale Blakely, 49, of Ririe, passed away on July 7, 2013, at his home.
Jeff was born May 9, 1964, in Idaho Falls to Warren Dale Blakely and Arline Stone Blakely. He was raised in Ririe where he worked moving sprinkler pipe on his Uncle’s farm or making pizza at Heise Hot Springs. After graduating from Ririe High School, Jeff started college at Idaho State University (ISU) in Pocatello and began work at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). He moved up from maintenance to SWAT. He was currently working as a landscaper for Season’s West.
Jeff had such a joy for life. His first love was motorcycling. He raced for many years and rode throughout his life. In 1999, he built his home near Heise and lived there until the time of his death.
On December 21, 2007, Jeff married his beautiful wife, Annette Ransom. Together they rode up and over every mountain they could climb. They spent every summer camping with their family or working in their beautiful yard together. Jeff’s laughter will ring in our minds forever.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Annette; a stepdaughter, Heather (Tyson) Barney; a stepson, Christopher Cole; 2 grandchildren, Peyton Barney and Kiptyn Barney; a brother, Mark (Jody) Blakely; half brothers, Shane and Mitch Blakely; half sister, Danielle (Chris) Stedham; his father, W. Dale Blakely; his mother Arline (Jerome) Bowen; his grandmother, Ruth Stone; a nephew, Staton Blakely; 6 stepsisters; 2 stepbrothers; and cousins, Jeré Smith and Cheré Morgan.
