Salem Jeddy Paul Nicholas, 74, of Cherry Camp Road, Salem passed away August 26, 2011 at home after an extended illness. He was born May 22, 1937 in Harrison County, the son of the late Percy and Grace Lamp Nicholas. Surviving are his beloved wife, Evelyn Tate Nicholas; two sisters, Patricia Goff and Mary Rose Gallo both of Daytona Beach, Florida; four sons, Eric Nicholas and fiancee Kayla Lowther of Salem, Michael Nicholas of Bristol, James Nicholas and wife Twila of McDonald, Ohio, and Paul Nicholas and wife Shawnette of Florida; two daughters, Vickie Nichols and husband Spence of Clarksburg, and Sherre Williams of Bristol; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by one son, Frankie Nicholas; one sister Judy Nicholas; and one brother, Tom Nicholas. Paul served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Dover Air Force Base, Dover, Delaware. While in the Air Force he was employed as an airplane mechanic.
