Jeannine Mercure 67, of Second Ave died Tuesday after a long battle with cancer, at Hebert Nursing Home. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Maurice and Juliette (Labonte) Mercure. Jeannine worked as an assembler before becoming disabled. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Choir. Jeannine had a very giving heart sharing what little she had by becoming a foster parent to three overseas children.
She is survived by a son Brian Robidoux of MA, a brother Robert Mercure and his wife Wini of Chicopee, MA, two sisters, Simone Salesses of Ocala, FL, and Claudette Boucher of Kingswood, TX, four nieces Kristen Wies, Kelly Cahalan, Amy Haugen, and Heidie Roberts, five great- nieces and nephews, and a cousin Jackie and her husband. She was also the sister of the late Susan McDonald.
