Jeannine Carmichael Scott, age 86 of Tuscaloosa, passed away June 27, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Scott and her parents; Strathur and Lucille Carmichael.
Survivors include her daughters; Rebecca Scott (Mike), Susan Shelley (Allen), sons; Keith Scott (Kristie), Earnest Wesley, grandchildren; Scott Shelley, Peyton Moss, Ryan Moss, Amanda Sanders, (Brad), Derek Blake (Laura), Evan Stacey, sisters; Gloria Albright (James), Rosalie Giattina (Joseph), brothers; Allen Carmichael (Lynda), and Steve Carmichael (Lyn).
Jeannine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a successful businesswomen, owning and operating multiple retail furniture establishments in the Tuscaloosa community over the course of her 40 year career including Jeannine’s Discount Furniture, University Furniture Leasing, and The Sleepe Shoppe. To her grandchildren she was Nana to her great grandchildren she was Nana “J” . She loved her family, Alabama Football, and a good laugh, and her laugh was the best ever, it was contagious.
