Obituary of Jeannie Pike

PIKE, Jeannie “J.D.” (Schulz) of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was 73 years old.

Jeannie Diane Dean was born on August 22, 1944 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Woodrow and Imogene (Calloway) Dean. She married Dr. Malcolm Bruce Pike on January 23, 1983; he preceded her in death on June 24, 2014.

Jeannie graduated from Jordanville Vocational High School with the Class of 1962. She first worked for Group Health Service as a marketing manager and then she worked for Prudential Real Estate. She also owned her own cleaning company, Clean Sweep. In her spare time, she loved to be outside, gardening. She loved nothing more than being with Malcolm and was devoted to her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her two daughters: Wendy (Paul) Schulz and Heather Schulz-Grunwell; three grandchildren; Dalton Wendling, Jessica Smith, Layla Schulz; brother, Pastor DeWayne (Carla) Dean; special friends, Ariane Jones-LaBelle and Deborah Toney; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 31 years, Dr. Malcolm Pike; grandson, Ford Rolland Sargent, IV; and brother, Jerome Dean.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Visiting Nurse Association, especially hospice nurses, Michael and Nema, for their merciful care.
