Jeannette Evelyn (Graczyk) Parker, 95 years of age, passed away on April 9, 2018. She was born to Frank and Elenore Graczyk on June 14, 1922 in Manistee, MI and graduated from Ludington High School in 1940. Jeannette married Robert “Bob” Parker on February 10, 1945 and they recently celebrated 73 years of marriage. Together they raised seven children. In addition to maintaining the household, Jeannette held bookkeeping and secretarial positions with Pendell Printing and the City of Midland. Bob and Jeannette retired to Ellenton, FL in 1981 and moved back to Midland in 2017. Jeannette gave vast amounts of time volunteering in her church and community. She was a long time member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church where she served in the Women’s Circle, as a Deacon, as a Sunday school teacher and as a coordinator for the Thank Offering Dinners. Jeannette and Bob started, coordinated and hosted the annual Florida Dow Corning Retirees’ Picnic. She was Treasurer of the Polish-American Club and the Michigan Club and volunteered at the Florida Welcome Center in Manatee County. She also oversaw the family newspaper route for 18 years. Her favorite past-times were dancing, bowling, gardening and playing cards and she especially loved watching and supporting her children’s many activities, the family gatherings and time with friends.

Jeannette is survived by her husband Bob of Midland, MI, her children Douglas (Beth) Parker of Grand Rapids, MI; Sandra (Richard) Ivan of Midland; James (Michele) Parker of Midland; Jeffrey (Ruth) Parker of Elkhart, IN; Carol Jackson of Midland; and Barbara (Terry) Lee of Bradenton, FL; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Hilda Parker of Ludington, MI and several nieces and nephews. Jeannette is predeceased by her son Russell Parker, her parents, siblings Julia Shunneson, Edward Graczyk, Isabel Miller, Frank Graczyk, Lucille Davenport and Eleanore Dahlgren.
