Jeanne Marie Sherouse Corlett

A fifth generation Floridian and Miami native, a wife who had a one of a kind marriage, our precious mother, the best ever grandmother and aunt… Known as Jeanne, Momma, Baba, Baba Jeanne and Aunt Jeanne. She enjoyed a wit most could not hold a candle to, hard crossword puzzles and excellent books, especially historical. Along with her husband, Ed, 22 great summers were spent at Hound Ears Club, Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Her sense of humor was infectious, her friends many.
She is survived by her children, Edward (Chip) Corlett, and Karen Corlett McCammon, (Bob) , grandsons Kerry J. Corlett, CO., Edward (Buddy) Corlett, Miami, granddaughter Katherine L Corlett, Miami, step grandchildren Kelly McCammon, (Wendy) CO., Maryl ( Kim ) McCammon, Miami Beach, and three precious great- grandchildren, Oliver and Cecilia McCammon, CO., and Liam McCammon, Miami Beach. Also surviving her are her nephews Scott Sherouse, Tom Sherouse(Christy) and Kate Sherouse, whom she adored. Her best friend since childhood , Maria Pero Helmly, has walked through this last journey daily, with Jeanne.
She was most looking forward to rejoining her husband of 62 year, Edward S. Corlett, and her grandson, Kris, along with a baby son, Kenneth B Corlett, in that place where there is only joy, Heaven.
Although she came in a small package, she was a powerful force of nature and a true Southern lady! We are sad and will miss her love and unconditionality each and every day.
