Jeanne Marie (Weisheit) Darr, Age 89, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away on May 17, 2021. Jeanne was born in Fremont on April 28, 1932 to the late Norma (Geiger) Weisheit and Clarence A. Weisheit of Clyde. She was a 1949 graduate of Clyde High School and graduated from Notre Dame College for Women in 1953 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education. She taught school at St.Augustine Academy for years, and upon moving to Fremont, she taught as a substitute at Ross High School.
On June 26, 1954 she married Dr. Anthony Darr of Oak Harbor. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2002.
Jeanne was a past president of St. Joseph’s Blessed Sacrament Confraternity, St. Francis’ Senior Guild, the Notre Dame College Alumni Club, the Hayes Garden Club and the Fremont Child Study Club. She was an active participant in the Fremont Federation of Women, the Hayes Presidential Center, the Sandusky County Historical Society and the Birchard Library. In earlier years she was active in the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and the Camp Fire Girls program.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her son Dr. David J. (Mary) Darr, and survived by her five children Dr. Joseph (Stephanie) Darr, Mary Jeanne (Dr. Joseph) Koehler, Dr. Michael (Joanne) Darr, Susan Darr Vishey, Holly Darr Wilgus, twenty one grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
