Jeanne H. Bilheimer, 92, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. She was the wife of the late Willard H. Bilheimer, who died in 1967.
Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Maude (Overfield) Herman. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1941, and later from Bethlehem Business College. During WWII, she worked as a receptionist in the Plant Patrol department for Bethlehem Steel Corp.
She enjoyed raising her family as a homemaker until her husband passed away, and then worked as a secretary in the Bethlehem Area School District for many years. She then became a legal secretary for several area law firms. Jeanne was a long time member of the Bethlehem Junior League, and enjoyed knitting and needlepoint.
Survivors: sons Robert Bilheimer and his fiancé Gina Antiga Miller of Bethlehem, John Bilheimer and his wife Sherry of Mt. Olive, NJ, Thomas Bilheimer of Stroudsburg; sisters Elizabeth Hittinger of Bethlehem, Marilyn Wiltsie of Belleville, IL; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
