Jeanne D. Palmieri Gilbert, 89, of West Haven passed away Dec. 15, 2015 in Masonicare, Wallingford. Born in Shelton on May 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Elizabeth Onofrio Palmieri. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a clerk in retail stores. She is survived by a son, Robert (Christine) Gilbert of Cheshire; a daughter, Sharon Gilbert of Cheshire; a brother Frank (Laurie) Palmieri; a sister, Gloria Palmieri; two grandchildren, Stephanie Testa and Erica Gilbert and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Giordano, Margaret Candelora, Vincenza Karpel and Frances Howard.
