Jeanne Adams, 89, of Jacksonville, died Monday, May 5, 2008 at Barton Stone Home in Jacksonville.
She was born November 22, 1918 in Monmouth, the daughter of Charles and Jennie Jebb Lusk. She married Virgil Monroe Adams on May 17, 1941 in Palmyra, MO. and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1994.
She is survived by one son, Gary M. Adams of Jacksonville; one daughter, Kris (husband, Jeff) Lurkins of Sahuarita, AZ.; four grandchildren, Kay (husband, Rich) Panich of Las Vegas, NV., Kim Lurkins Wachtel of Alexander, Travis Adams of Jacksonville and Heather Lurkins of Sahuarita, AZ.; one great-granddaughter, Ashley Marie Wachtel of Alexander; and one sister, Doris Schroeder of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and John Lusk; and one sister, Charlotte Sloan.
Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Monmouth High School. She enjoyed knitting and loved to shop.
