Jeanette Silic-Roulston, 72, a resident of Providence and long-time resident of Boston and Detroit, passed away at home on Sunday, August 6, 2023. A beloved mother, sister, and friend, she was the daughter of Calvin Rucker and the late Mary Filan.
Born in Springfield, Ohio, Jeanette was raised in upstate New York and later attended Wittenberg University. She spent over four decades as a research librarian at some of the most well-known tax and law firms. Living in Boston since the mid 90s, she was an active member of the community and arts.
Jeanette always had a zeal for life. She would spend hours talking with neighbors and friends and treated them like family. Jeanette could always be found digging in her garden and planting new life for others to enjoy. She also enjoyed her time in the kitchen and her cherished recipes passed down from generations.
Jeanette’s memory will forever be remembered by her two sons, Scott (wife Kyla) and Nate (wife Amy), her father Calvin, brother Kevin, sister Pam and extended family members.
