She was born January 24, 1922 to the late Merle and Jessie Fleener of Bloomington, IN.
In 1941 she married Winfield H Jolliff. They lived in Bloomington until 1986. Then they settled in Spanish Fort, AL to be close to their two daughters and grandchildren.
Mrs. Guthrie was preceded in death by her husband Winfield Jolliff and an infant daughter Beth Ann Jolliff. Others deceased; three sisters, Lucille Sturgeon, Belmont, IN, Lois Rush, Bloomington, IN, Mary Ann Hammond, Bloomington, IN, two brothers, Wilburn Fleener, Martinsville IN, Leslie Fleener of Mooresville, IN, son-in-law Max Parsons, step son-in-law Robert Lucas and great granddaughter McKinzie Bruce.
Jeanette later married Rex Guthrie of Kimberly, AL. She is survived by her husband Rex, two daughters, Brenda Parsons, Spanish Fort, AL, Mary Bruce and son-in-law Jack Bruce, Pensacola, FL, a step daughter, Doris Lucas, Kimberly, AL. She is survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Jeanette was a former member of West Side Assembly of God church, Bloomington, IN. After moving she now belongs to Bible Baptist Church in Spanish Fort, AL. She was a former member of Hoosier Hills Art Guild in Bloomington, IN. She attended Bloomington High School and Faulkner State Community College at Fairhope, AL.
She leaves behind one brother and sister-in-law Elmo and Esther Fleener, Bloomington, IN.
