Jeanette “Janet” E. Pitts, 90, of Indianapolis passed away on the early morning of Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Indianapolis. She was born October 4, 1927 in Knox County, Indiana to William Dwight and Mary Elsie (Bender) Chambers.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter Melanie (Aaron) Aldridge; son-in-law Robert L. Poynter; grandchildren Casey and Bailey Aldridge, Robert C. (Tracy) Poynter, Richard Poynter; two great-granddaughters Jayda and Alayna Poynter. She is preceded in passing by her parents; husband Donald E. Pitts; chidlren Jeff Pitts, Donna Poynter and Donald D. Pitts.
