Jeanette Elaine Prosser, age 82, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at her home. Born in New York City, New York to Albert Eugene and Mae Eveline Faist Jones, Jeanette came to the area in 2016 from Oveido, FL.
Jeanette was a registered nurse and worked at various hospitals. Later, Jeanette received a degree in machine design from Rhode Island Junior College and worked at Electric Boat in Groton Connecticut and then for Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach Florida.
Jeanette loved to read and loved her children very much. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jeanette will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Harold; 3 sons, Harold III (Susan) Prosser of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Jeffery (Louann) Prosser of Tarpon Springs and Kevin (Sherri) Prosser of Bluffton, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren, Corey, Cherie, Danielle, Leah, Courtney, Kayla, Devon and Zackary; 6 great-grandchildren, Emma, Jacob, Noemi, Austyn, Levi and Peyton; and sister, Marilyn Carroll of Oviedo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and sister Doris.
