Jeanette Ann (Spencer) Nelson, 85, of Bristol, formerly of Plainville passed away Tuesday February 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. To the very end she was stoic, loving and always cared about the well-being of everyone around her.
Jeanette was born June 7, 1930 in Plainville a daughter of the late Leon and Gertrude (Morton) Spencer. She attended Plainville High School where she played drums in the school band.
She leaves her sons, Ronald Nelson and his wife Nancy of New Britain, David Nelson of Southington and Michael Nelson of Bristol, her sister Corinne Trepanier of Plainville, her grandchildren, Eric and Heidi Nelson, her great grandsons, Jimmy and Justin Nelson and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeanette also leaves her special and dear friend, Rella Aho and her family as well as the Spencer and Flanders families. She was predeceased by her former husband, Stanley A. Nelson, her sisters, Vick Schwab, Leona Spencer, Doris Mullen and Mildred Yeski and her brothers, Kenneth, Edward, Ralph, Russel and Robert Spencer. Jeanette was also predeceased by her dear and special friends, Thelma Spencer and Theresa Flanders
