Jean Whitis, 75, of Belton. Mrs. Whitis died Friday, November 14, 2014 in a Temple Hospital. Mrs. Whitis was born April 27, 1939 in Temple, the daughter of Clifford and Bee (Ray) Ketchum. She was a lifetime resident of Central Texas. She married Howard Whitis July 11, 1959 in Belton. She worked as a teller for many years at Peoples National Bank in Belton.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Belton and where she was a member of the Golden Age Club. She also was a member of the Chisholm Trail Good Sam Club. Survivors include her husband Howard Whits of Belton; two sons Steven Whitis of Dallas and Gary Whitis of Temple; one brother Jim Ketchum and wife Sheryl of Burleson and Sister Carolyn Hunter and husband John of Belton.
