Jean White Evans, 85, a resident of the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields, died on Saturday, December 24, 2016 after several years of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Roy A. “Jake” Evans, Jr. and the daughter of Luther Gurney White and Ila Farrell White, both deceased. She was a homemaker and was a member of Hawfields Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Evans and wife Judy of Haw River and Kenny Evans and wife Janet of Haw River; her grandson, Matt Evans of Hillsborough; three great grandchildren, Emma, Elijah, and Easton Evans; and a granddaughter in law, Leigh Evans of Haw River. She was preceded in death by her brother, Willard White, and her sister, Margaret Clark.
