PITTSBORO- Mrs. Jean Vaskis Rose, 87, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Pittsboro Christian Village.
Jean was born February 2, 1930 in Mount Carmel, PA to the late Frank and Catherine Vaskis. She attended North Ridge Bible Chapel. Mrs. Rose taught Sunday School, camp counselor, and was a Leader for AWANA’s program. Mrs. Rose enjoyed walking and reading and taking care of little ones. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catherine Vaskis.
Mrs. Rose is survived by her husband Edgar Rose; sons, Mike Rose (Vivian), Philip Rose (Donna); daughters, Diona Overton (Steve), Joy Wilson (Tim); 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
