Jean Strang Hamilton, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.  She was born on January 10, 1927, in Janesville, Wisconsin to the late Burr and Bertha Strang.  Jean was a graduate of Teaneck High School, Penn Hall, and Parson’s School of Design in New York City.  She continued studying design in Paris, France. 

An Interior Designer working out of New York City, Jean designed many homes for her clients in the Northern New Jersey area.  She enjoyed playing the piano, electric keyboards, gardening, golfing, oil painting, and throwing large dinner parties.  She will always be remembered for her wonderful artistic ability, her beautiful creations, and her talent for cooking fine french food. 

A long time resident of Eastlake Woodlands in Oldsmar, Florida for over 30 years, Jean was a member of the Eastlake Woodlands Country Club where she served as president of the 9 Hole Golf Association, giving her much enjoyment.  Jean enjoyed taking cruises and listening to island music.

Preceded in death by her husband, George D. Hamilton , Jean is survived by four loving children.  Catherine H. Schirra and husband Peter B. Schirra of Houston, TX; Cynthia H. Ladutko and husband John Todd Ladutko of Greenville, DE; Cherilyn H. Reed and husband Steven D. Reed of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Charles B. Hamilton of Oldsmar, FL.  She is also survived by three loving grandchildren, John Bradford Ladutko, Jennifer Anne Ladutko, and Cassandra Jean Schirra, as well as her loving sister Joyce  Strang Rude of Tampa, FL.
