Jean Potter Fitzgerald, 80, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving children and their families, who selflessly attended to her every need.
Charles preceded her in death, as did her sister Joyce Hall. Jean is survived by her seven children, Gregory, Mark, Scott, Elaine, Douglas, Peter, and Casey; brothers Larry and James Potter; sister Mary Schauber; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jean had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to read, and was always up for a good game of cards or backgammon. Her children’s friends always said Jean was the “coolest” mom they knew, and they were right. The family wishes to thank Covenant Hospice of Fort Walton Beach for their outstanding care and support.
