Jean Ables, of Hobbs passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, September 6, at the age of 72.
She was born December 13, 1948, in Palacios, Texas to Joe Robert and Ann Parker.
She is survived by her 2 children, Denise & (Rolf) Menge, Robert & (Natrice) Ables, 4 grandchildren, Heather & (Cody) Milton, Jeffery Ables, Alesia Ables, Tiya Orr; 2 great-grandchildren, Kylee Milton & Torryn Milton, and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Billy Ables, father Joe Robert Parker, parents Sonny and Ann Rogers, 2 sisters Sandie DeMoore and Joe Ann Parker, 2 brothers Joe Robert Parker Jr. and Johnny Parker.
She attended Hobbs High School. She worked for H&R Block for 30 years. She truly loved her family, especially her girls (Blondie & Ethel Mae). Her kids were her world, as matter of fact, she kept tabs on them till the end. Denise had to text her when on her way to Lubbock to doctor appointments, and text when she was back home.
