JEAN ELIZABETH MURPHEY, 89, resident of Deming passed away Thursday March 29, 2012 in Deming.
Jean was born November 19, 1922 in Bellvue, Pennsylvania to William and Heretta Christy Weiss. She was a homemaker and has been a resident of Deming for 4 years having previously lived in Tucson, Arizona. Jean was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of the Sewing Circle when she lived in Pennsylvania, and loved to crochet.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ward and her husband Bob of Deming, son, William C. Murphey and his wife Kim of Tucson; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a great great grandson, and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Watson Murphey on June 20, 2004.
