Jean Monaco, 97, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 2, 2018. Jean was born in Jersey City in 1921, was raised in Carlstadt, NJ and returned to Jersey City in 1951 where she lived the rest of her life. Jean is survived by her three children, Joanne and her spouse, Thomas; Joseph and his spouse, Olga; and Anthony and his spouse, Anna; her three grandchildren, Christina and her spouse, Edward; Anthony, and Simone; and her great-grandchild, Edward. She was predeceased by Anthony, her loving husband of 54 years.
Jean was active in many church and community affairs, including the Our Lady of Fatima Society, the Dante Alighire Society, and the Jersey City Seniors. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister and taught CCD at St. Nicholas Church for many years.
