Jean Marie Carpenter, age 83, of Fish Creek Landing Road, passed away January 24, 2012.
She was born June 18, 1928, in Richfield Springs, a daughter of Lawrence and Marie Mullen Dugan, and graduated from Mt Markham High School. Jean was united in marriage to James R. Carpenter, on October 17, 1958, in Clayville. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, in Verona Beach.
Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim; daughters and sons in law, Jacqueline and Thomas McIntyre of Port Leyden, Jennifer and Timothy VanDyke of Whitehall, MI, Julianna Wojdyla and William Smith of Lyons Falls, Jill and Kevin Gaylord of Boonville, Jody and John Wheeler of Boonville, and Jessica and Earl Wood of Lyons Falls; sons and daughter in law, James R. II, and D. J. Carpenter of Ormond Beach, FL, Jeffrey Carpenter of Stacy Basin, and Jonathan Carpenter of Durhamville, a sister, Anne Dugan of West Winfield; brothers and a sister in law, Robert and Claudia Dugan of West Winfield, John Dugan of Sauquoit, and Thomas Dugan of Sauquoit, several grand and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter in law, Denise Carpenter, sisters, Betty Groe, Margaret Dugan and Mary Bottini, and a brother, Lawrence Dugan, Jr., and granddaughter, Haley Jo Gaffney.
