Jean M. Steely, 84, of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, Pa. and formerly of Bethlehem, passed away, on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in her home. She was the loving wife of James L. Steely for 65 years. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (DeLong) Solt. Jean was a 1949 graduate of Liberty High School. She sang in the choirs at Messiah Lutheran Church and Christ Church of Bethlehem and at the Masonic Village. Jean worked at Bon-Ton in Bethlehem for many years and was a devoted wife and mother. Survivors: surviving with her husband, Jim are her sons, Rick Steely and Timothy Steely, both of Lower Saucon Twp.; a daughter, Debra Steely and a sister, Catherine Weaver, both of Bethlehem. She was preceded in death by a son, Craig J. Steely and a sister, Carolyn Powell.
