Jean M. (Jacobs) Rackawack, 71, formerly of Bethlehem, died at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. She was the wife of the late John Rackawack, who passed away in 2005. Born in Allentown, Jean was a daughter of the late Marion (Yenser) Jacobs and Tony Jacobs, Jr. She graduated from Slatington High School in 1958 and from St. Lukes School of Nursing in 1961. Jean was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church in Bethlehem, where she served on the Consistory, taught Sunday School, Peter Panda, and sang in the choir. She was a nurse at St. Lukes Hospital, and then worked for the late Dr. Jonathan Tenzer for many years. She most recently worked at Eastwood Nursing Home in Easton. She loved to cook, loved butterflies, was a collector of Hummels, and she loved the color blue and playing the piano. Survivors: daughter Michelle L. Rackawack of Bethlehem; sisters Susan J. Grube and husband Jeffrey of Slatington, Kathryn L. Gerhart and husband Rodney of Donegal, PA, Carol A. Getson and husband Philip of Boca Raton, FL; godchildren Rachel, Kevin, and Dawn; nieces and nephews Eli M. Getson, Jeremy M. Getson, Rachel M. (Grube) Horvath, Kevin E. Grube, Rebecca L. J. (Gerhart) Grippando.
