Jean Albers, 93, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019. She was born to Chancy and Lena Lucas on August 14, 1925 in Marion.
Jean married Roy Albers on May 21, 1948 in Indianapolis. Together they owned and operated Albers, Inc., a pest control business for 40 years. Jean was the first Majorette for Tech High School. Jean was a member and on the board of the German American Klub. She traveled around the United States dancing at German American Klubs. She taught Kinders Kids different German dances. She enjoyed travelling and went to many places around the world performing her dances. Jean loved her family very much.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Jim (Jackie) Albers of Indianapolis and Dan Albers of Cape Coral, Fl; her grandchildren, Kristin Clyne, Kelly Albers, Michael Albers, Ashlyn Albers, Josua Albers, Jamie Albers, Mandy Waterman, and Chrissy Albers; her step-grandchildren, Kevin Shaffer, Karren Sondrini, and Kyle Shaffer; 16 great-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Albers; her parents, Chancy and Lena Lucas; her brother, Tom Lucas; her sisters, Thelma Fisher, Viola Lucas, and Anna Mae Holland; her son, Tom Albers; her niece, Lois Ann Fisher; and her daughter-in-law, Karla Albers.
