Born on June 12, 1945, Jean was one of seven siblings and lived with her mother and father in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jean graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1963 and attended Atlanta Christian College thereafter. She worked as a clerk/ secretary for ABF (previously known as Carolina Freights) until retiring in 2004. After her retirement, Jean went on to assist her sons Matt and Page with their businesses, Henderson & Henderson and Page Properties, up through her last days.

Jean was not only an incredibly hard worker but also an exceptional mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, and friend. She was kind, loving, resilient, humble, sincere, and generous. She loved spending time with her church, Buford Church of Christ, volunteering and teaching Sunday school. She also enjoyed playing cards and traveling with friends.

Jean loved her family immensely and moved from Duluth to Buford in 2017 to be even closer to them. If she wasn’t at church or with her friends you could always find her hanging out with her family at a family dinner at Él Toreros, on a cruise ship somewhere on the ocean, helping her son and daughter-in-law managing properties, or at a grandkid’s game of any sport under the sun.

Jean was a very dedicated Christian and spent her whole life honoring God’s word. There’s no doubt that she now resides in Heaven with The Lord himself, living it up. Though Jean may no longer be with us here on earth, she still lives on in our hearts and will always be remembered.
