Jean Larsen, age 73, of Humboldt died on Thursday December 26, 2019 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Jean Marie Lehman, the daughter of Oliver and Esther (Holst) Lehman, was born on June 10, 1946 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1965. On June 22, 1976 Jean was united in marriage with Aage J. Larsen at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Jean worked as a cook and waitress at Burger Boy and the Back Seat Restaurant in Humboldt for 30 years. She retired in 2011 but she got bored and went back to work. Jean retired a second time on November 30, 2019. She was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church. Jean enjoyed being a patron of the Humboldt Public Library where she spent a lot of time reading. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, adventuring with her children and grandchildren, visiting family and the beach in Florida and her four legged and two legged grandpets. Left to cherish Jean’s memory are her children, Travis Lehman and his wife Amy of Marshalltown, Jennifer Madsen of Boone and Kathryn Blake and her husband Tim of Ankeny; grandchildren, Michael (Kaleigh) Lehman, Caleb Studer, Jacob Lehman, Isaac Madsen and Makayla Lehman; a sister, Sharon Puls of Lutz, Florida; a brother, Bruce Lehman of Humboldt; and many relatives in Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
