Mrs. Jean L. Irrer, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday morning, September 17, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region, age 93. The daughter of the late Fred & Elizabeth (Wice) Haske, she was born March 3, 1921 in Reese. Jean was a graduate of Saginaw High School and a retiree of J.C. Penney Co. in Saginaw. Jean was was a fun-loving person who enjoyed playing cards and bingo, working crossword puzzles and reading. She was also a longtime member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Jean is survived by several nieces and nephews, her step son-in-law, Rudy (Marilyn) Joyce, two step grandsons, Steven Joyce and David Joyce and also her step great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Adam Haar, her second husband, Harold Irrer, her step daughter, Nancy Joyce, her brother, Harry Haske, and two sisters, Ellen Trombley and Maxine Trombley.
Jean’s family would like to express their thanks to the Caretel Inns staff for the special care she received during the past four years.
