Jean L. (Cronrath) Houpt, age 73, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 5, 2021 at her home in Harleysville, PA. She was the wife of James F. Houpt, Sr., with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.  Born in Woxall, PA she was the daughter of the late Paul Cronrath and Mary Kline Cronrath.

Jean graduated from Souderton Area High School, class of 1965 and attended Lansdale School of Business. Jean worked for Univest Bank for 38 years she retired as a branch manager of the Schwenksville office in 2013.  She was also a Longaberger basket consultant.  She was a member of Rocky Ridge Mennonite Church. In her younger years she was a part of eastern star and Old Goschenhoppen Historical Society.  

Jean loved to crochet and scrapbook. She enjoyed making baby blankets and Christmas stockings. During the holidays she would make candies and cookies for friends and family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Mary Bauman (Brian) of Souderton, Bonnie Houpt of Harleysville, and James F. Houpt Jr. of Harleysville; grandchildren Kierstin Guro (Sean) of Hellertown, Trisha DiTullio (Jason) of Telford, Wesley Bauman of Souderton, and Noah Bauman of Souderton; and great-grandson Grayson DiTullio.  She is also survived by her brother John Cronrath (Nancy) of Catawissa.  She was predeceased by grandson Dillan Bauman and great-grandson Levi James DiTullio
