Jean D. Johnson, 80, of Quakertown died Sun, July 31 in Belle Haven Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Raymond Johnson. Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Rosa (McCall) Hersh. She graduated from Quakertown High School in 1949. She worked in the shipping department for Safeguard Business Systems, Lansdale for twenty years until she retired. Previously she worked at Sine’s 5 & 10 as a cashier. Jean was an active member of Quakertown United Methodist Church, having served on the finance committee and with the UM Women’s group. Jean was part of a bowling league for many years. She was an avid Phillies fan having been to the 1980 World Series at Veterans Stadium. She always had a cat in her home and could be found frequently watching the Animal Planet. Surviving: daughter, Susan Bartholomew of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Juanda Wilson, husband Jerry of Clermont, FL; nieces & nephews; sister-in-law, Doris Hersh of Quakertown. She was predeceased by brother, Dean.
