Jean Inez Brewer, 93, of Ottawa, died on Wednesday morning, July 11, 2018, at The Gardens Park Pointe in Morris. Jean was born on October 17, 1924, in Scott Township, WI to, Stuart Freeman and Inez May (Vanderhoef) Gorsuch.
She was a graduate of Pardeeville High School in Pardeeville, WI, and went to the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Chicago. She married Forrest Junior Brewer on June 1, 1947, at the home of her parents in Pardeeville.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Ann (Timothy) Funte, of Mazon, a son, Stephen (Shirley) Brewer, of Normal, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Dorothy van den Berg and Marilyn Bradley, and a brother Clyde (Frances) Gorsuch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Forrest on October 18, 2004, and 2 sons David Harold, in infancy, and Forrest Douglas.
